Advanced Diagnostic Services

EndoscopyOne way to diagnose diseases affecting the internal lining of the intestines is with endoscopy. An endoscope is simply a long, thin, flexible tube with a light and miniature video camera that lets veterinarians examine the interior surfaces of an organ or tissue without cutting into the patient.

Through our video endoscope, PVH veterinarians can perform a visual exam of the esophagus, stomach, upper small intestine and colon. They can take small pinch biopsies which do not require sutures and which heal quickly with no after care.
