Dental Care

Animal dentistry has advanced remarkably in the last few years – and we have kept pace along with it, updating equipment, educating doctors and staff on the most recent techniques and apprising clients of new research that applies to their pets.

This is a critical area of veterinary care as periodontal disease strikes three out of every four pets. The disease has implications far beyond the mouth, often causing pain or discomfort or dysfunctions of the heart, liver, kidneys and other vital organs. For this reason, we encourage regular dental check-ups and cleanings. During these visits, we recommend and can perform dental x-rays for a more complete assessment of your pet’s oral health. X-rays allow us to see any disease process that may be hiding below the gum line.

We are equipped to diagnose and treat even the most severe cases of periodontal disease as well as the many other problems that can occur in a pet’s mouth.
