Preventative Medicine Services

VaccinationsVaccines help pets live longer, healthier lives. Just as you vaccinate your children against diseases like polio, measles and scarlet fever, pets need to be protected against the diseases that most threaten them. Advances in veterinary vaccines have paralleled advances in human vaccines. They have stamped out diseases that once were common and fatal; and each year, they eradicate more contagious diseases.  We do that through a schedule of regular vaccines tailored to the individual needs of your pet.

Some vaccines are considered core vaccines and should be administered to all pets; others are optional and may be recommended based on certain factors such as risk for exposure to a specific disease. Vaccine recommendations can also change throughout a pet’s life as travel habits and other factors change. We consider every variable as we determine which vaccines your pet should receive.

We understand that your pet is unique and that no single vaccine program will be idea for every pet in every situation. Our goal is to give you the best advice for keeping your pet healthy through every age and stage of his or her life.
